The F2SB consists of a F2 body with a DP-3 head. The DP-3 has new SBC silicone blue cells with an improved sensitivity which replaced the CdS cells of the DP-2. In the viewfinder three LED – o + indicating the correct exposure (the same the FM used later on). A slider on top of the finder activates the built in viewfinder illumination – shutter speed and aperture glow red and can be read even under low light conditions. The DP-3 also features an eyepiece shutter to block light coming through the eyepiece.
The DP-3 was manufactured only a short period from October 1976 until 1977 (some sources say 1978), replaced by it’s AI version DP-12.
I purchased the pictured camera from a private owner in Cham/Switzerland in April 2014.
According to the serial number it was built in June/July1976.
Shown with a matching 50mm/1.4 K-type lens.
