The Nikon EL2 is basically a Nikkormat EL/ELW featuring the newly introduced Automatic Indexing (AI) system. But… the EL2 went down in history as the end of the brand Nikkormat. Since then every new Nikon camera has a Nikon nameplate on it.

Manufactured from Mai 1977 until mid 1980.

I purchased the pictured camera from a private owner in Switzerland in 2002.
